General info
In performing the services of training and consulting, principal preoccupation of International Center “La Strada” is the consolidation of the professional capacities of specialists who interact with vulnerable groups of individuals outside of trafficked people. The beneficiaries of the trainings organized by Center "La Strada" are the educators, the social assistants, the representatives of law enforcement, the journalists, the hotline counselors, NGO staff members, the church clergy etc.
The participants of trainings and consulting activities have the possibility to develop new skills that can be used efficiently in working with the at-risk groups, to know the best techniques of intervention, and to study about national and international practices in this domain.
In the organization of trainings and consulting activities, the Center maintains a flexible approach that starts with determining the needs of a target group. Subsequently, the content and the methods of teaching are adapted for these specific needs. For each training are elaborated the supports of course that are distributed at the participants.
Training Experience
1.1. Conceptual principles
Pre-training needs assessment – we believe that such an approach allows tailoring a more efficient module for maximum impact
Flexibility – we allow passable modules’ merging with more or less focus on specific module and/or session so that it adequately respond to trainers needs identified and Scope(s) of Moduleset
Individual approach – the training techniques and methods as well as trainers are selected considering profile of the organization-beneficiary, of the auditorium and of the environment to ensure that all communication bridges are in place and maximally used
Responsibility sharing – we believe that the trainer’s mandate is to share knowledge and experience and help the trainees understand how to approach the problem thus ensuring that the ultimate decision is theirs while it is sufficiently grounded
“Open doors” – to ensure that info provided is not lost or distorted during the post-training period, we provide each trainee with a special info support/training handbook which also ensures symbiosis between the trainees after the training and gives possibility for a passive feedback and progress self-evaluation with reference to the handbook
Other include:
Maximum 20 trainees per training
Group homogeneity
Mid-term and final evaluation
Feedback and individual consultations per activity/ Expected Results registered immediately in the post-training period
1.2. Training methods
Our training method and techniques are diverse and vary from lecturing to case simulation in real time and environment. Such are selected based on the module’s objective as well as profile of the auditorium.
